We know theoretically and practically that potash in
an available form is necessary to make a successful crop.
2nd.
We are sure that the heavy rains during the past
winter have leached out a great amount of soluble Potash
and left the^oil lacking in this valuable plant food.
3rd.
Germany, our only source of supply has prohibited
any further exports of Potash Salts.
4th.
•
Muriate of Potash is selling this season for about
$125. to $150. per ton, cash in large lots, port. Last season
it was about $40. per ton.
5th.
This is an increase of from $1.50 to $3.00 per unit.
We have increased our price-m mixed goods for Potash
only 50c. per unit over last season’s prices.
6th.
Our average increased price of fertilizer, due to the
increased cost of Potash is only about 10c. per sack. Please
note the following table:
200 lbs. Fertilizer per acre—Cost of Potash 10c. more than last year.
300 lbs. Fertilizer per acre—Cost of Potash 15c. more than last year.
400 lbs. Fertilizer per acre—Cost of Potash 20c. more than last year.
500 lbs. Fertilizer per acre—Cost of Potash 25c. more than last year.
1
After considering the above facts, we feel sure you
will not undertake to make a crop this *eason without AN
ADEQUATE SUPPLY OF POTASH IN YOUR FERTILIZ
ERS. WE HAVE THE GOODS and our prices are very
little higher than last season.
Ask your dealer for our brands.
