The Sun Brothers’ World’s Progres sive Shows, that are heavily billed to exhibit at Barnwell, Oct. 1, for two performances, is one of the legitimate out-door amusement institutiens of this country. It has a record of twenty two years of continuous service before the people of this country and further has the distinction of being the very clean est tented exhibition that ever trav ersed the good old United States. It has never allowed any Gamblers, Fakirs, Fortune Tellers, Oriental danc ing girl concerns, no catch penny devi ces, no ticket scalpers, no short change artists, no people to follow it from town to town with questionable-prize schem es, no street corner ropers-in and in fact nothing that can in any way reflect on a first class, well conducted, educa tional, attractive and real entertainment enterprise. The policy of the manage ment is to be entertainers of the public and not part and parcel of a bunch of grafters. This big tented show will appear afternoon and night of Oct. 1 at Barn- .wel 1 .—Adv. One of the big events in the Sun Brothers’ performances this season, is the Superbly Trained Ensemble. It is claimed for this section of the show, to be the surprises and wonder of all be holders. Here will be found horses that are clowns, acre bits, musicians and dancers; elephants, with the wits of human beings and with a sense of humor, these pflchyderms % are the sen sation of every city and town visited, 1 in fact they have appeared in all parts of Europe and the big cities of the United States, and forms in all, the ! most picturesque, laughable, comical, astounding display of elephant sagacitv ever conceived. C -\1 m$E TIE VALUE OF 11 VIET ltd By Running It Through the I Cotton Maturing M e To Faripers ai)d Planters— The Farmers Ginning Company of Barnwell calls atten tion to the wonderful improvement made in the condition of wet and green cotton by running it through this wonderful machine, which dries out all moisture, thereby preventing ’’gin- cuF and enhancing the value of your cotton at least two cents a pound. The seed also sell for a much higher price and the cotton can be stored for bonding when wet cotton would not be accepted. To introduce the machine and prove our claims, we will, for a limited time, run your cotton' through the Hall machine for two dollars a bale. This price must be advanced after we have proved the above facts. The gin will stamp your bale STERILIZED by the HALL PROCESS so that the cotton buyers will know they are buying cotton that will never deteriorate or lose in any way. As we have already had so much cotton offered to us for this process by formers who know of it, our gin is running night and day and we urge that you bring your cotton to us as early and quick’y as possible. We quote the following unso licited testimonial from the leading cotton buyer of Barnwell: J. A. PC)DTKII DEALER IN GENERAL MERCHANDISE Barnwell, S. C, 9-1-14. A\r. Jno. B. Hall, Philadelphia, Pa. Dear Sir: I have seen the “Hall Cotton Maturing .Machine" in opefrution at Barnwell, S. C, and have given it considerable thought. 1 see it opening perfectlyj*reen cotton bolls and turning out a high grade cot ton, free from leaves or trash. 1 see it drying out green cotton picked in August, taking out all moisture and ready for’the spindle or export. I see it drying out seed cotton, wet from rain, and ginning free from “gin-cut.” In my opifilon no up-to-date ginnery is complete without your system. . A r ~ y - V , Yours truly, jap-m , ‘ . J. A.
