Death of An Infant.
Rube Kirkland Diamond, the five*
month, old son of Mr. and Mrs. G. J.
Diamond, died here Sunday afternoon
after an illness of two weeks. All that
the skill of physicians and the tender
ness oftpving hearts could do was done
to prolbng the little life but the sum
mons had been sent and Hie pure white
spirit returned to Him Who gave it.
The little body was buried Monday
afternoon in Mt. Olivet cemetery, the
Rev. W. L- Hayes conducting the
services in-the presence of a number
of sorrowing relatives and sympathetic
friends. The bereaved faguiy the
sympathy of the entire confmuhity in
their loss.

Mr. C. D. Williason, of Philadelphia,
arrived here Tuesday morning to assist
in the experiments being conducted by
Mr. John B. Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Buckingham,
Messrs. C. F. Molair, W\ J. Lemon and
John Duncan Holmes sailed from Char
leston for New York Sunday ^morning.
