OUR TENTH YEAR
Another year of unparalleled success finds expression
the greatest values ever offered in this store. This opening of
this Anniversary and House Warming Sale ushers in our tenth
vear in Barnwell, and in all the magnificent records of retailing
In this vicinity there exists no precedent for the instantaneous
and permanent success of this store. Since its inception ten
years ago each day, each month, each year has strengthened
its growing prestige and popularity, necessitating the remodel
ing of our present quarters—the business has grown by leapg
and bounds, and its unrivaled supremacy is more fully estab
lished than ever before. Your liberal patronage has been an
indispensible factor in our development and success. Words
are inadequate to express our appreciation, and we will seek
to show this in a tangible way in our House-Warming Sale,
with all its wonderful buying opportunities. Not half the story
is told here—there will be 15 days of great celebration—15
days of mighty merchandising, in which every known standard
of value giving will be surpassed.

A BRIEF REVIEW OF THIS BUSINESS
Just ten years ago this store opened its^doors for business
—we expected great things—we have made good, into the
very fibre of the make-up of this business was the sincere de
sire to do right and be right in merchandising and in methods,
and it was inevitable that a great business should result from
right principles rightly applied to right, merchandise. This
store was great from the start—there was no waiting. The
people have come—they have been loyal—and today we see
the-results of our endeavors to make this a store for the people.
Successes like this do not just happen—they are the re
sult of definite causes—you know what they are. Now that
we are in our elegant new quarters—the best lighted store in
Barnwell—we feel our responsibility greater than ever—we
must be up and doing—you will expect greater things of us,
and far be it from us to disappoint any single one of you. We
want” to keep your good will—your confidence—your patron-
jige—we'll do our best tu merit it. _ - '* • -■
