There a»-e Bat three days between now and Easter Sunday.
As Easter approaches, the tardy shoppers “get a hustle on” and
shopping becomes more difficult. Take advantage of this sug
gestion and come TODAY to make your selection. You will
then have time to go leisurely over our stocks of fashionable, ijp-
to-date apparel and secure the suit most becoming to you, which
may be sold if you put off shopping until the last minute.
Our every department is extensively stocked with every
requisite to make the completion of your Easter Wardrobe, and
will unfold to bargain-seekers the greatest buying opportunities
of the entire season. ^Women choosing and buying for Easter or
Spring will find the Western Carolina Department Store not only
a place to economize, but a great help in making their selections,
where merchandise is shown of absolute correctness, in great
quantities and varieties.

The stubborn fighting of the Mexi
cans, both federals and rebels, in and
around Torreon has been a revelation
to the entire world and should be a
warning to the “jingoes” who are
clamoring for intervention on the part
of the United States. It has shown
that the “greasers” are capable of giv
ing and receiving a great deal of pun
ishment and that this country would
have no “cinch” in conquering the
adjoining republic. On the contrary a
vast amount of American blood and
treasure would be' spilled before the
Mexicans were finally subdued.

Jk LAWYER received $10,000 for suggesting those words to a railroad.
That sign, “Stop, Look, Listen!”'saved the road many thousands
of dollars in damages. It’s a good sign. It’s worth $L0;000. Wise
people are often warned by a similar sign on the road of extravagance.
