Mr. Willie Cailiff, who is pleasantly
remembered in Barnwell, stopped over
here Friday while en route from Bruns
wick, Ga., to New York.
The Barnwell Chero-Cola Bottling
Company has been chartered with
capital of $3,000. The officers are
R. Hooten, president, and W. A. Steph-
enson, secretary and treasurer.
Another cold wave, the second this
month, hit this section Sunday, follow-
the rains of la$t week. High winds
prevailed Sunda^ and Monday, making
the weather extremely disagreeable.
Miss Amilee Blume, of Blaekville, was
a visitor here Tuesday.
The Hon. Claytop S. Warner, of
Appleton, was in town Tuesday.

securing a gallon and a half of contra

Mr. and Mrs George Batten, of Mont
clair, N. J.,. stopped over in Barnwdll
last week on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. F.
M. Buckingham, while ea route from

of articles of national reputation.
“Mr. Bob” was presented in the
Opera House Friday- evening by local
talent to a large and appreciative audi
ence. The pl%y was given un<^r the
auspices of the W. M. S. of the'Barn
well Baptist Church, and after paying
all expenses a very nice sum was
realized. Those who took part in the
play displayed usual histrionic ability
and are to.be congratulated on the man-
in which they acquitted them-

delightfully entertained Saturday after

Calhoun won first prize, a beautiful
