Richardson, G. J. Diamond, Clerk -Supervisor. Crop reports from oves the county are generally favorable. Mr. B. F. Anderson motored over from Dunbarton Thursday. The Hon. R. M. Mixson was a vistor to the county seat Monday. Dr. E. W. Ellis, of Milletteville, was in Barnwell on business Thursday. Miss Adelle Thomas, of Blackville, was the guest of Col. and Mrs. J. M. Caldwell Sunday. Major J. Ancil Meyer, of Meyer’s Mill, was a welcome visitor to Barnwell Sunday and Monday. Miss Kate Baxter, who is very pleas- v antly remembered here, is the guest of ijMrs. W. V. Richardson. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Holman and little daughter, Carrie, have returned from a trip to Charleston and Suflivan’s Island. Mrs. A P. Mrs. Mozelle Furman and her son. Mr. L. Connor Furman, of Hickory, N. C., came up from Savannah Thuruday afternoon on a visit to relatives and friends in Barnwell County. They will leave for their Old North State borne tomorrow. “Tommy” McMillan of Ulmer, Barn well County’s star ball player, was in town Friday. He left for Jacksonville ^Idnday to join the.Charleston baseball club, and his frienas are looking to him to bring that team “from behind." A flock of about twenty-five snow white cranes were seen flying slowly over Barnwell, going in a southerly di rection, Sunday afternoon. Is there any peculiar significar>ce in that fact other than that they were looking for better feeding grounds? Invitations are out to the marriage on Wednesday, June 25th, of Miss Ruth, daughter of Mrs W. S. Mims, of Heal ing Springs, and Prof. P. B.
