morning from Memphis Term., where
he went for medical treatment. While
there, an operation was preformed and
his many friends will 1>' glad to learn
that his condition is much improved
and it is hoped that he will be out
again soon.

Feeding Sweet Potato**.
It has been fonnd by repeated ex-
perimenis that sweet potatoes mix
very well with corn in a ration for
mules at ordinary farm work. It is
better to slice the potatotes aud mix
with corn at every feed, rather than
alternately. For horse and mule feed
ing. it was found that three pounds of
