of the executive committee of the

found to be exceedingly poor, burn t up

average, in consequence of great
drought. I saw nortiing of the crop
from Atlanta to Birmingham ip con

corn crop* throughout Alabama and
Mississippi were exceedingly poor, a* a

We had a good attendance. 1 was very
much Impressed with the personnel of

desire to make false statement* of the
condition of the crop*. They evinced
to my mind the g eatest care and paitfs

they seemed to have gone over the

committee, by a large majority, decided

Cotton Journal.

per ton a* the minimum price for cot
ton seed. A metnlwr of th* committee
-who was a practical oil mill man and
an oil mill owner said that this price
w** not exorbitant, but, In fact, was a
fust and fair qne.
