Hampton killed a man, for which he
was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Gov. MeSweeney pardoned him on
condition that ho leave the State for
good. Later Bennett wrote from Geor-
gla begging Gov. Heywald to lot him
poo* back. This refuted hut lie came
any bow, and soon killed hD wife,,
claiming that he misstook her for a
burglar. For this he was convicted of
maneiaughter and sentenced to the

to Georgia, was caught last week in
