Mr. William Rountree, aged about
82 year*, a brave eoldier of tbe Confed

Mr. Sullivan, near Dunbarton and was
buried in tbs family grave yard.
On Friday, at the home of 1 hla son,
Mr. James (. Green, near Dunbarton,
Mr W\ W. Green, aged about 74 years,
long a leading member of Joyce
Branch and Cypress Chapel churches,
’-crossed tbe river,” and was laid to
reat In the family burial ground. He,
too, wa* a gallant soldier of the lost
cause and In peace as In war well dis
charged every duty to State, society,
church and family and friends.

Miss T.avana Rountree departed this
life at the home of her mother in Ben
nett Spring* on June 16th 1903 and)

ground at Joyce Branch church. Her
health had been bad about four years
and she had spent the most of the time
with her brotherlnlsw who’was always
klifil to her and willing to help her
in any way he could, though she went
home to die with mother.
From childhood to the final hour her
life was rarely beautiful In its crystal
purity of thought aud speech, its per
fect keeping of the golden rule, glad
obedience to the commandments and
sublime faith in the promises ef tbe
divine father she loved so well and
served so faithfully. She passed
through all the changes ot her many
years with white hands and unrolled
soul, sod to her death was but tbs
transition to the life everlasting.
