Ret every merchant and banker and every^farmer lend his aid one to the other for the purpose of withholding his cotton from the market. 1 have just read a telegram from northern Texas in which a prominent New York spot dealer say* that last night his agent in Texas and the ter rltorlcs was able to buy 1U0 bales only, against 3,(UX) same date last year. Throughout the State* of Texas and the territories, M ississippl, t.onisuna and Arkansas come the same repoits All advice from these States indicate a crop condition as bad oc worse than our*. 1 would advise all those within reach of warehouses, w here rates are reasonable, to ship their cotton, store it, and where the Interest is not'too high, borrow money solllcieht to tide them over their present need, and eh able them to help win theflght that has been won and wt 11 be won before this season is over. Those who have to sell now or at least realize some money on their cotton are the ones whom 1 am most particularly interested In bene- tiling. All those In reach of Columbia can ship their cotton into warehouses here, ami a* fur a* I am able, 1 w ill give it my personal supervision. The rate of interest on money advanced is the most reasonable that I have yet been able to obtain, and any one wish ing to ship cotton to Columbia for storage, by communicating with me.4 think will be pleased w 1th the imcres| charged. When the time come* to sell the cot ton shipped to Columbia we can have buyers from different parts of the State, representing different exporting tlrms and different mills, to bid on the same. t*t every man in the State use his every enueavor to withhold his cotton from the market.
