clearing and draining swamp lands.

the aero, and 800 to 1,000 pounds of
lint cotton the second and third years.
Each success put on end to emigra
tion to Texas, and these lands that had

Baptist Church, having united with

sionary Society since it wa* tir*t or-
ganlietL..
She was laid to re*t In the family
burying ground beside the mother
whom she loved and nursed so tender
ly for many year*. She leaves live
brothers and four sliders to mourn her
loss.
