9 year*. At the age of twenty he gave
his life to the Lord, was .baptized by
Rev. H.S. llgrtzog. then pnstor of the
BprlnglleM Baptist Church. He has
since lived an earnest Christian life.
He alwxya wotc h iiheertul smile, and
had a kind word fbr all. 1* was hard
to give him up, hui^oh, what a sweet
consolation to think he has gone to live
with the Savior! . 'Y- .
For *lk lonjf weeks he Suffered but
bore it all without a murmur. * Many
prayersdid 1 send up to the Almighty,
but God saw-best to take him aw*y,
and while my life seems"sad and lonely,
1 have a dear mother and father, to
comfort me. 1 liave fojir little «diild-
ren to raise, but with the help of the
Lord I shall raise them that wh-n
death cornea they ahail meet their
preclou* papa lit heaven, vvnere there
will he no more sickness, sorrow n«r
death. Just about ten dav* before be
died I had a long talk with him He
said lip was “only waiting.” His was
a beautiful llfe-a beautiful death.
He was laid to rest hI old Calvary
Church where a large and sorrowing
congregation assembled. He leaves a
dear mothui, six sisters and four little
children to mourn hi* death.
But all I* well. 1 shall try to meet
him in Heaven.,
