Mr. John Adam Hair died at Fairfax
on the 26th ult.. aged 70 rear*, lie was
the last, survivor of hta family.
Mr. N. O. W. Hair died at bla home
In this township on the tFh Inst, of
pneumonia, aged nearly 60 yesrs. He
made a splendid record as a Confeder
ate soldier In Hie 20th Georgia Regi
ment. Ijongstreefs Corps. From the
day of his departure to his return home
was exactly four year*. For 18 monthi
he was a prisoner at Rock Island,. 111.,
and was not liberate^ until the sum
mer of 18(16. being one of the last 38
captives released. He was a man of
golden good heart, and the news of his
death will be sad tidings to many. He
was ready to cross the river and join
his comrades gone before.

The procession, each bearing flowers,
marched fromCastk Hall to the Bap
tist Church, where Rev. C. E. Burts
nres'-hed the annual sermon, an elo
quent, touching discourse, appropriate
to tfje occasion, after which the graves
of departed members were adorned
with beautiful memorial blooms.
