years. Her mother was a member of
the long prominent Bowen family of
Alabama. She was twice married, Mr.
— Owens being her Hrat aud Mr. John
K Crawley her second husband. Two
daughters survive, M rs S. J. Hsrisog
of Denmark and Mrs. J. L. Sandc.is ol
Red Oak.
God gave ber long life and she con
secrated all her years to His work and
to service and sacrifice for all that
stood in need of wise counsel and gen
tle guidance. Love for the welfare of
tier church, her family and a multitude
of friend* tilled her Hie with con-taut
thought and effort and gave her heart
the constant happiness that comes a*
the rich reward of full duty doi.e.
There was naught of sellTliness in' her
character A woman of rare intellec
tual endowment, yet ail ambition* were
servant to the better wish to lift the
care* and lighten the sorrows that fell
to those the loved. And so her life was
a benediction to sucb a* she tom bed
with love ami comfort as kite passed
through all the changing years'. Hhe

free delivery routes in the Second Dis
trict. The government require* that

length, that the road* must be in good
traveling order and at least a hundred

livery. Fifteen more routes have been
allowed in tbit state, and Mr. Larimer
will investigate from Blackville, Den-
Meal, I mark, Brunson. Hampton and Granite-
vilie as additional starting points. .
