eleven children, three grand children,
two sisters, three brothers and a host
of rclatirea hud friends to mourn her
death, bhe is asleep to ua but awake
at God’s right hand, beckoning us
mine. She had been-a consistent mem
ber of the Long Branch Baptist church
for nearly forty years. She lived a
Christian and was a faithful worker for
the Lord throughout her llfty-four
vents, and w as laidTo rest by the side
of her litUomoes at the long Branch
church yatiL Pastor A. Bhist conduct
ing the funeral services Hhe died sat-
istled with her trust in the Savior and
the hope ol a glorious resurrection. It
was most gratifying to her loved one*
to know of ',her triumphant faitli in
Christ, in a By leg hour. Oh, how cur
hearts ached jli giving up our loved
one, for what Is home without a moth
er. No more her footstep* are heard,
and hfcr chair by the Preside la always
vacant, yet in our sorrow it teaches us
to say Thy will be done. What a bles
sed assurance, she is now free from the
trials and temptations of this world,
and enjoying all the bliss heaven can
afford, and aomc day wc hope to meet
our dear mother in that better world
when} sin and sorrow are never felt.
The prayers o| nil chrUtiau »ou|s, the
sympathies of all the gentle hearts that
she sleeps in JesUfi. a blessed sleep
from which none ever wake* to weep.
But our loss is her eternal gain.
After the funeral services one of her
favorite hymn* was sung:
One sweetly solemn thought
