Unions. They want a larger share of
the prosperity of their employers.. A
beginning of the war of labor against
capital was made laA week by a strike
tn the Warren Mills, Aiken County,
and a rebellion In the two Greenwood
mills followed. Like the small pox the
strike will break out In many places,
hut unlike that disease there is no vac*
elnation against Its contagion.
The purpose for which war was ihade

IS.40 p. m. on the 14th Inst., President
McKinley signed the financial bill de*
alaring the gold atandard as the coun
try's currency basis and providing for
