The death of Dr^ B. F. Peeples has
saddened this copnnninity beyond ex
pression in words. lie had been In at
tendance upon the Sunday School Con
vention on Friday and Saturday, *«d

Saturday evening he retired to rest at
his residence on Kdisto at the usual
hour and apparently In customary
health. During the still hoars of the
night, while wrapped in peaceful slum
ber, his spirit passed Into the eternal

N. C., owned by Mr. Geo. W. Vander
bilt, a pair of pigs of rare individuality
and whose pedigree U of the bluest.
One of them, a boar, bred by Mr. Kd-
n *y liayter, Whitechurch, Ham#, Eng
land. and tired by the noted History, a
son of the great Swansea, now sumiing
at the bend of the Royal Agricultural
College. Cirencester.
The sow Is sired by Imported Com-
msnrler, a winner at the great Royal
Show In England in 1897, and out of
one of the famous Longfellow sows.
Dr. Milhous is to lie congratulated

and also upon his progressive spirit in
