JOHNSTON INSTITUTE.
The Johnston Institute is the leading
school between Augusta and Columbia.
Last session 264 students were enrolled,
65 of whom-vere boarders. To accom
modate the increased patronage neat
year, a handsome building is now in
process of erection.
BOAKDIXO HALLS.
The Superintendent and family con
duct two halls for boarding students—
one for boys, the other for girls. In
these halls the students are under
military restriction and give their un
divided time ‘to study. The military
system develops the body and forms
habits of punctuality, order and neat
ness. Board can also be obtained In
private families If preferred.

Our faculty consists of ten teachers.
Among the teachers are two from
Barnwell county—Miss A. 8. Arnold,
Allendale, and B. M. Martin,a recent
graduate of the Citadel. The course of
study Is high and thorough, lending to
