F K. Winn, of Sumter, deserves to be
prosecuted for assault with intent to
kill, and vigorously too. On saleday
he. and friend went duck hunting, leav
ing their horse hitched to a buggy be
hind and a tree before. On coming
back they found their team gone.
Winn saw a man riding in a buggy
some distance off, supposed him the
thief of\hla turnout and fired three
times at him, missing his target every
time. Footing it homeward he and his
friend found their horse and buggy at a
road side house w hereat had been halt
ed as. the animal was straying home
ward. Rev. John Kershaw was thy
gentleman Winn shot at.
