Iq carrying out the pledges of the past, qnestioiia of th** most vital and far- renebing import have bsen raiaed— questions that go to the very founda tion of government by the people. The i**ue has been squarely, raised be tween organIxed capital and the orga nized people, by whose an If rage aggre gation of capital,became possible. The creature ha* grown so powerful and arrogant that it ha* dared to measure arms with its creator—the State. So hot have the Reformer* made this light that corporate monopoly has been dri ven from It* cover and forced to light in the open Held. Its subtle grip upon the people's throat lias been loosened and complete emancipation for the peo ple is only a question of time.
