Much interest was felt in this trial, the c utrt room being crowded during the two day* It lasted. The attorney* en gaged were all younger members of the Bar, yet they bore themselves like vet eran*. Tuesday morning the case of Anna Simms, for forgery, was commenced but, owing to absence of witnesses, withdrawn and continued by the Stat>, defendant to be released upon bond for fJOO. . \V. A. Odom was tried and acquitted on charge of disposing of property un der Hen. J. K. Davis for defence Wednesday morning Belton J <hrs was put on trial for murder. ?
