my plan and let It be known that every
white man in Barnwell county is inter
ested In a cotton factory and you will
hear no more of this as far as Barnwell
county is conojerned, and as soon as the
other countiesin the State see this every
one will adopt the plan and that ends
that matter.

colored girl. 11 years old. but had been
raised by Mrs. limwn, of Gaffney CRy»
as a house girl. She was scolded last
June hy Mr* Carpenter, Mrs. Brown's
daughter, boarding with her mother,
about house work. As soon as she. got
a chance she poured carbolic acid In the
mouth of Mrs. Carpenter's infant,about
A 11 months old, causing Its death. She
killed the child in revenge for the scold
ing as she was not its nurse.
