Good rains now would do a vast deal of good. Buford’s Bridge News. The track on the South Bound is laid to Saltkehatchie. As soon as the bridge, is.built they w ill commence work again. The station is on Mr. Richard Morris’s land, joining Mr. K W. Morris. They have appropriated 100 acres of land for the town. Thirteen lots have been en gaged and a great, many more are speak ing of buying—so you see a town of a considerable *ize w ill be built at once. The station is about live miles from Bu ford's Bridge The Editor of the Bamlierg Herald passed the station on the hth, taking a free ride on the South Bound, furnish ing his own conveyance, having one passenger on board* " Blue. All the officers were promptly in Uieir places. Fifteen grand jurors answered to their names. Sev eral petit jurors were excused for legal causes and ten new’ names were drawn from the Seven Mile box to fill the pan els. * * k . Ryerson Smith, third son of John G. Smith, Esq., wa* taken sick on Sunday, 5th inst. Ryerson Smith, whose death occurred at hi* home on the 8th of July, 1891, be it resolved by WillU- ton Lodge No. 21 Knights of Pythias: 1. That we bow in reverential sub mission to the will of Almighty God in this dispensation of Hi* providence. 2. That in the death of our brother this lodge loses one of its most efficient members, respected by all for his fideli ty and integrity and who was at the time of his death Chancellor Comman der, who all delighted to honor. 3. That we cherish the mdmory of our departed brother, grateful that we had united to us in the mystic bonds of Friendship, Chari tv Jand Benevolence so noble a gentleman, who w-on and wore worthily the highest honors of Knighthood that our lodge could be stow. 4.
