Dr. J. E. Burrows, a distinguished
minister, preached two aide sermons.in
the Baptist Church on Sunday to large
congregations. He is no longer able,
on account of the intirmaties of advanc
ed age, to perform the duties of pastor
and is living with his son, Dr. Lansing
Burrows, of Augusta. After the night
sermon five candidates were baptized
by the pastor. This is the second time
the new. baptistery has been used. Dr.
Burrows returned home on Monday
morning. •%
