son started handcuffed I was sorry fur

the use of my horse and buggy. 1 over
took them about three quarters of a mile

insulted or threatened and ordered a
pistol. This last charge is laughable,
since I have never tried to use a pistol
nor have I ever owned one. \Ve had no
supper, hut a cup of cfiffeeand a biscuit
for breakfast. If Mr. Kelly said that 1
whs sick in bed he made a mistake, as it
was my son that was sick. I refused to
procure a conveyance or pay tny way on
tlie cars because I have to work hard
and can't afford to travel over the coun
try at pleasure. On the road we gut wet
aiid Mr. Myers grumbled. He said he
could see no futtIn this as he was wet.
He asked me itovv I liked it. 1 told him
that he got paid for bis trouble and I as
a prisoner had to griij and bear it.
