An appropriate preamble and resolu
tions were adopted and committees ap
pointed to carry out the determinations
of the meeting.
Pursuant to that action, on the first
day of September following, a commit
tee consisting of Messrs. E. L. Banders,
W. K. Boynton, J. A. Jenkins, H. W.
Walker, W. B. Bteediy, J. U. Kay, J. 8.
Still and U. W. Morris issued a circular
to the churches and people of the Bute
informing the public ol the action of
that meeting and soliciting aid to com
plete the work that ban been under
taken. The following report of the
Treasurer shows how generously the
public responded.

that the people, among whom lie lived
and labored, appreciated him while liv
ing and love to recall his noble example
of the Bamberg, the Orest Baltkehatchie,
the Philadelphia, the Friendship, tiie
Grahams, Bpringtown, Bpring Branch
and Midway Churches. The work of
spiritual reconstruction under his lov
ing hands is manifest here to-day. As
the pastor of the country churches
which he so dearly loved to serve hisin-
fluence was justly felt far and wide.—
The pastoral relation is one of a true
and tender nature. When the marriage
bells ring out their soft, sweet notes the
minister is there to celebrate the nup
tials and invoke the Divine blessing.
And when the Angel of Death enters
the household and snatches away some
loved one then and there too the faith
