Robert Wood and James Bowman had lieen rivals for the heart of Miss Juliet Hasman. A short time ago Wood and the young -lady Vfere married, and Bowman's hatred of hi* successful rival became intense. The par ties met Christmas night at an entertain ment. and-after afew words between Wood ami Bowihiflrijbtli drew their pistol* and began shooting.
