a line drawn from the left nipple to the

The Jury returned the verdict, “That
tbe said Jeff Bruton came to bfa d'-ath
at tbe handa of WUUama alias Hart
aad It waa wilful murder."

alias Hart ae a small white man, with
light colored hair, mustache aod im
perial, wearing spectacles and with a
limp In bis walk. He was seen, riding
Bruton’s borne, a small sorrel pony
with both hind feet clubbed aod let
down, at Fiddle Pond, Saturday after
noon, In Bed Oak township Sunday
rooming and le reported to have cross
ed tbe Savannah river Sunday after
noon at Brown’* Lending, but tbe par
ties wbo saw him knew nothing of the
murder. A warrant for bfa arrest was
Issued by Coroner Tobin. 1 here Is no 1
doubt but that the name* of Williams
and Hart were assumed to aid In hi*
escape.
When Jeff Bruton’s body was found
It was lylna uo tbe face with a small
platol, which he habitually carried,

been buntedly cut from the wagon.
