labels of life. And though human in
telligence cannot lightly measure the
mysteries of the Divine Providence it
must be true that lie, the Father dooth
all things well, when the summons
comes at high noon, when the trials of
earlier years have bicn overcome and
the ripe fruitions of life arc ready to he
plucked.
When the need /or such men as he in
church and State and family and social
life seemed sorest, his Lather has seen
that fie has done enough for kindred
an 1 church and country and has called
him up higher.
His pure life on earth is ended but
the example of his ccuiage to do light
and of his devotion to all that was good
can ncrer die. His memory wid be
held in loving remembrance as long ns a
heart that knew him beats with the pul
ses of life.
And may He w ho has taken his ser
vant to Himself, to serve Him in the
courts of Heaven, comfort wiih his tea

now so sad aud licaitbroken, under the
grief of their gieat loss aud give to
him at th# last day, the loved ones
