Every now and then wc meet with a man who wants to be a fainter and nothing els* and such men art: always happy and nearly always successful. Now thert is not a professional or commercial man in the county that lives as pleasantly and profitably as the limner who is ns devoted to his crops as the lawyer!* to his books, the doctor to hit pill bugs or the merchant to his bal ances and measures. This homily is suggested by a vi»it of Mr. D. W. Dye he* last week and the well told story of his fruitful life. On a one-horse farm last year he raised all hit. provisions, meat, corn, eegs, chickens, potatoes aud syrup, au abundance of milk and butter and tbh teen bales of cotton.
