A shoemaker at Wythevllle, Va , a
few days since wrote to President-elect
Cleveland asking lot his measure for
a pair of boots, which he proposed to
make fgr him for his inauguration.
Governor Cleveland replied In a polite
note, inclosing a twenty-dol!ar bill for
the boots. The shoemaker returned
the money, but the Governor insists
