Much has been written rega ding prop

women, silk culture, ponltly raising;
trades of various kinds whiali arc no
doubt very profitable. But there are
runny ladies who have no opportunity to
raise silk worms or follow any employ-
tnent of that kind. To that class I wish
to open whst to me was entirely a new
field. Some three months ago on uncle
of mine from Albany, N. Y., was visit
ing at our house and we were talking of
plated ware which he wus engaged iu
manufacturing, and to gratify my curi
osity he made a plnting machine and re
plated our knives, forks, spoons and cas
tor. It only cost Si and it done the
Work perfectly. Some of our neighbors
saw what we had plated, wanted meto
do some pkiting for theui. I havu since

every house I got from 82 to worth
