carnival. For many, parents, the
carnival will offer the first op
portunity to visit the cafeteria and
inspect the equipment and finish
ings in the cafeteria.
The grammar school auditorium
will house lhe Main Show of the
evening, which is slated to get
under way promptly at 8 o'clock.
Nine separate acts, Oil staged by
the local young showmen, will be
offered for the admission price of
25 cents, adults and children.
One of the featured attractions
to be seen ‘‘on the inside” will be
Champion High Diver Bobby Mays,
who will dive from a high platform
into a basin of water.
Jerry Dunlap, under the direc
tion of Mrs. Reuben Pitts, Jr., will
present a song-and-dance apt that
promises to be highly entertaining.
The program committee announces
that a group of the most rugged
seventh grade males have been,
persuaded to model the latest fe
male fashions in negligees to even
ing gowns.
Eight. grade schoolers have
been busy preparing their Junior
High Cadets drill act that will be
part of the Main Show. Reports

One of the' most original and
most colorfully costumed features
of the program will be a series
of posed scenes representing na
tionally famous advertisements.
The audience will be asked to name
the advertisement that each scene
represents.
A satarixed “Day In School” skit
will offer the kids an opportunity
to take off on teachers, school
rules and studies, and to do every
thing tbtey are not supposed to do
ib school. A tight-rope walker
will perform feats on the high wire
that is expected to leave the audi
ence breathless.
Climaxing the main show will
be a black-faced minstrel with
songs, jokes, and clowning. Ac
cording to the program planners,
the entire show will be fast mov
ing, entertaining an<J wholesome.
Every attraction has beep carefully
planned and rehearsed and Is ex
pect ed to be staged with almost
professional showmanship.
