is working steadily toward the
completion of our annual We are

tures made next week. These will
be pictures of our basketball teams
and also some snapshots. The
name of our annual *• “The Echo.”
Our next mchool paper ^1S to be
published next week. Everyone
seems to enjoy reading it very
much. We hare had many compli
ments on It. I think all the sen-
dents are anxious to see If their
names appear in the gossip column.
Some more extensions hare been
added to the bell in the school
building. We hope this improve
ment will decrease the number of
pupils Who miss their bus each
day because they did not hear the

The Beta Club held its regular
monthly meeting January 22. Don
ald McLaurin, the president, pre
sided. A very interesting program
was given on the varioue clubs
of the 17th century. Those taking
part on the program were Lock
McKinnon, Red Hilton, Betty Gray
MeCaakill Joe Ann Wayne, Esther
Squires, Donald McLaurin and
Carrie Mae Norris. There are 21
members in the Beta Club this
year. A committee la consulting
photographers to make our pic
ture to be sent to the Beta Club
Journal.
On Wednesday, Feb. 3, both of
the Antioch teams will play Blaney
it the Armory in Camden. On the

This is the first time we have

graders who have not had the
necessary experience or training
