same as private insurance. How
ever, they differ from private in
surance in that the worker dees
not have a choice of beneficiaries.
“The cost is met by 1 per cent
deduction from the worker’s wage,
plus an equal amount contributed
by his employer; however, begin
ning January 1, 1950, under the
law, as amended in 1947, the coat
will be Increased to 1 1-2 per cent,”
he pointed out.

dents of Chester and the surround

Social Security administration field
office Rock Hill, is at the Chester
county courthouse the first and
third Wednesday of each month
at 10 o’clock in the morning.
