Music for the dancing will be furnished by the very popular Bill Burn’s and his orchestra. As an extra added feature with the band here Bill will present his new discovery in Miss Marcia Campfield. She has won the ap plause of the people that have heard her since joining the band. This is going to be the biggest event in Camden this year, so everyone should plan to be on hand to cheer the Queen of the Palmettos. * • • Tickets can be secured at the Horse Bowl football game head quarters in the Sarsfield _ hotel here in Camden. 1 • • • • • Mrs. H. L Clybum Is Hostess To Garden Club The King Halglar Garden club met on Tuesday, Dec. 13. with Mrs. Henry Lee Clybum and Mrs. John A. Haglns at the home of the former on North Broad street with 14 members present, Mra. D. C. Hinson, president, presided and a paper on “Cultiva tion of the Pine TYee” was given by Mrs. John Langford A reptrt was given on the Arbor Day exer cises at Pine Tree school, and pine seedlings were distributed to the club members. Each member had been asked to bring an arrangement for a cen terpiece or door piece suitable for the Christmas hoildaya. The first prise was won by Mrs. D. C. Hen son, a spray of magnolia leaves, pine cones and red leather bows. The second prise, an outside door arrangement of pine and pine cones Interspersed with nandlna berries. Mrs. Abbott Ooodale was winner of third prise, which was a candy-strip walking cane tied with a r'ed bow, silver bells, holly and pine, to be used on a from door. The club voted on the 4th Mon day in every month as the meeting time. Dec. 24. nt the Airport Recreation Hall. The dinner, served buffet style, was served at 8 o'clock, followed by a dance until 13 o’clock. Music for the dance wee furnished by Bill Bums end his orchestra.
