Supt. J. G. Richards, of the Camden City Schools, was
an all-round athlete in his younger days but after play
ing two innings of baseball last month in the all-Richards
game at Heath Springs when the elder Richards nine
played the younger Richards nine, he had to call a doc
tor to straighten him out. Above he is shown 'with the
doctor rubbing Kis leg—-could it have been a charley
horse? The elder Richards team, which made baseball
history some twenty years ago, beat the younger Rich
ards team at that. Supt. Richards was captain of the

Craig-Laird Company has
been bought by L. W. Boy
kin and it Is expected that it
will resume operations on
next Monday, Oct 17.
The plant has been shut
down for several weeks.

The state highway commission
has repeatedly requested the
Council to abolish angle parking
on these two blocks in the busi
ness section as well as on the
two business blocks of Broad
street. City Council did not give
serious consideration to the Broad
street request but did discuss the
DeKalb street problem.
