of South Carolina, saw the Bulletin
of the Bethany Baptist
church while passing by Sunday
morning abd decided to attend
the services. Rev. Estea is the
pastor of the Broadway Baptist
Church in Louisville.
The annual reunion of the de-
scendents of the late Mr. and Mra.
Willis F. Truesdale, was held Sun
day, August 21, at, the old home
stead- The late Mr. and Mrs.
Truesdale had two daughters and
eight eons. All the children were
present and also many other rela
tives and friends. Dinner was
served in piftnic style and a most
enjoysble day was spent by all.
Mrs. Douglas Smith entertained
Saturday night with a Stanely
party. Games and contest Were
enjoyed and delicious refreshments
were served by the hostess.

(41) mills on each and every dollar
of real and personal property with
in the corporate limits of the City
of Camden, B. C., from the first day

City Clerk anM Treasurer, Camden,
& Cn on the 1st dsy of September,
1949, and remain open each day,
except Sunday, from t: 00 a. m. to
1:00 p. m. and from S:00 p. m.
to 5:00 p. m. until the 1st dsy of
March, 1950.

SECTION IV: Under and by

the City Tax Collector or the desig-
nated deputy tax collector shall
seize and take exclusive possession
of as much of the defaulting tax
payer’s estate, real or personal,
or both, as may be necessary to
raise the sum of money named
therein, and said charges thereon,
and after due advertisement, sell
thesame before the Court House
Door in the City of Camden, South
Carolina, on a regular sales day,
and within the usual hours of
Public sale, for cash, and give the
purchaser, (upon his complying
with the terms of the sale) a re
ceipt for the purchaser money, but
not make title to the purchaser
until the expiration of twelve (12)
months from the date of sale. If
the property sold be not redeemed
as hereinafter provided and annex
*aid receipt to the duplicate war
rant with the endorsement thereon
of his action thereunder and shall
after deducting from the proceeds
of sale, the costa and expenses of
■aid sale, pay over to tile City
Clerk and Treasurer the taxes,
charges and penalties due and in-
curred-Jjy said defaulting taxpayer;
and upon written notice given, of
any mortgage or other lien on
said premised so sold for taxes,
shall hold the ucceas, if any, until
authorised ana directed by the
proper Judicial authority as to the
tood$ of disposition, or by written
consent of the defaulting taxpayer
that the said exceSk be paid over
to mortgage or lien creditor, and
according to priority If more
one; .
PROVIDED, that the owner or
grantee of any mortgage creditor
may within twelve months from
date of inch sale redeem such
property by paying to the City
Tax Collector or the designated
deputy thx collector, or City Clerk
and Treasurer Mm taxes, eocts,
penalties and expenses of sale,
together with six (4%) per cent
interest on the whole amount of
the purchase price of said land
so sold, and thereupon the City
Tax Collector, or the designated
deputy tax collector, or the City
Clerk and Treasurer shall pay

chaser the amount paid on his bid,
with Interest as above stated, and
the bid by the said purchaser shall
be then cancelled end revoked, the
owner or grantee remaining in pos
session of the said land;

(SO) days notice to any mortgagee
or assignee, of any mortgage ap
