To Study Consolidations
County School Districts

Appointment of a committee to study the present
[division of Kershaw county into school districts and to
formulate a plan for the consolidation and reorganization
of such school districts and to make recommendations to
the county bj>ard of education and the legislative dele
gation was made this week by the legislative delegation.

In the two weeks intensive
raining program that featured
1 le Camp Stewart encampment,
the Kershaw county unit of anti
aircraft fire experts ran wild in
shooting prowess, the unit shoot
ing down three out of four sleeves,
two of them by 90-millirneter fire
and one by 50-caliber sleeve fire,
"our batteries engaged in the fir-
ig duel.
The target distance was 1,000
eet for the 50-caliber guns and
1 mile or more for the 90-milli
meter weapons. Over 370 rounds
were fired by the 90-millimeter
weapons and 3,000 by the 50-cali
ber unit
