wedding of Miss Margaret Young
Watkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jake Watkins, to Roy' Francis
Mertz, Jr., formerly of Chumk,
Pa., Sunday afternoon at the home
of the bride’s parents.
The bride wore a turquoise
dress with brown and white ac
cessories.
Leona Watkins was her maid
of honor and*Donald Elliott acted
as best man.
Miss Catherine Bowers-furnish
ed the wedding music. Tlw cere
mony was performed by l*r pas
tor, Rev. C. H. King, in tMe pres
ence of the immediate family.
Mrs. Mertz is a graduate of Mid
way School.
Mr. Mertz finished high school
at his home in Pennsylvania and
served in the United States Navy.
They will make their home in
Camden.
Mrs. E. B. Caddell
Diev In California
Mrs. Ernest B. Caddell passed
away Sunday morning, June 26
at her home in San Francisco,
Calif. She was the wife of Ernest
B. Caddell, formerly of Bethune
and Camden.
Mrs. Caddell was the former I
Miss Dolly Noce of San Fran
cisco and was 37 years old. She
had been sick the past five
months, having been in hospitals
at Santa Maria and San Francisco.
She is survived by her husband,
two sons, Kenneth Wayne and
Ernest B. Jr.; her parents, Mr and
Mrs. Pascal Noce of San Fran
cisco: four sisters, Mrs. Claire
Whitley, Mrs. Grace Furlong,
Mrs. Anges Nuemiller, Mrs. Alice,
all of San Francisco; one sister-
in-law, Miss Ada Caddell of Du-
Bose Park, Camden.
Funeral services and interment
took place in California.
