On European Trip

Miss Patricia Maddox, daughter
of Mr. and Mn. Herbert Maddox,
Fair street, will be one of 20 or
more college students from points
in the South who will meet in
New York on June 29, to start on
a tour that will take them to a
number of European countries as
well as the British Ldes.
Dr. Roland L. Leavell. presi
dent of the New Orleans Baptist
Seminary, is in charge of the tour
and the business management is
tnr the Brownell Travel Bureau
of Birmingham, Ala.
On June 94, Dr. Leavell will
conduct the group on a sight-see
ing tour of New York and on July
1, the group sails on the all-stu
dent and teacher ship for over-
to be held in Stockholm,
_ from Aug. 3-4. Young
Baptists at this congress will rep
resent every nation in the world.

The sea voyage is expected to
take ten days. En route there will
be lectures and conference on
European cities and other locali
ties to be embraced on the tour.
The ship will land the group
in France and after a tour of that
country the party goes to Switzer
land, Italy. Germany, Denmark,
Sweden. Norway, Scotland and
England.
The main purpose of the tour is
to attend the Baptist World Youth
and small son, Walter, Jr., of New
York are visiting his brothers,
Roy and Ernest Watkins, this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davis, who
have been living near Camden,
moved here last week. Mr. Davis
is a mechanic and will open up
a garage in a few days. Mr. and
Mrs. Davis are welcome comers to
this community and we wish for
them succsas.
