chairmen, Mrs. E. B. SchlOsburg
and Mrs. F. D. Goodale were prac-
ticularly busy last week when
they and a group of good volun
teer helpers packed over 2,000 let
ters that were mailed on Monday,
November 29. Many of those who
received these letters have al
ready returned the money for the
seals. Mrs. Schlosburg and Mrs.
Goodale urge everybody to send
at The Fashion Shop. Don’t forget
to see it while you are down town
or on your way to the post office
to mail your seals.
Mrs. J. A. Bell, rural chairman,
reports that all of the letters to
people living in rural communi
ties have gone out. The rural mail
sale showed a larger increase than
any other section of the Seal Sale
and Mrs. Bell stated that this was
due to the splendid work done by

Dr. J. P. Pickett, chairman for
the negro Seal Sale, stated that he
is very grateful for all of the as
sistance that has been given by
his committee chairman. The
negro Seal Sale has shown a great
increase each year and Dr. Pick
ett stated that he and all of the
workers are proud of the generous
response of the negro people in
Kershaw county and feel sure that
this year the Seal .Sale will be the
biggest ever known here.

mechanical field. During the war
he worked with an ordnance out
fit for your years as supervisor of
shops.
His son spent three years in the
Army Air Corps in the mechanical
department in charge of a fleet
of trucks. Before entering the
service he worked with W. C
Bums at Kershaw. He has been
doing repair work 16 years.
