Bishop, director of the State Department of Research, Planning and Development, will speak at a meeting of the membership of tme Camden Chamber of Commerce to be held Thursday evening, Oct. 28, at the American Legion Hall. At this meeting directors will be elected to serve for the coming year. Every person or firm that took out a membership in the Cham ber of Commerce in the drive is invited to the meeting which will begin at 8:30 o’clock, and it is hoped and expected that there will be a very large turnout . The drive last week has result ed successfully and the Chamber now has the largest enrolled membership of its history. Direc- f will be elected at the meet- Thursday night to represent e various dassifications. The directors chosen Thursday night will name the officers. Mr. Bishop, who will be the speaker of the meeting, became director of the state department of research, planning and develop ment last Febraury. He is a na tive of South Carolina but had been a banker in Philadelphia for a number of years.
