Grigsby, of Blaney, died at the Baptist hospital m Columbia Tuesday morning after an illness at several days. His death came as a shock because it had not been generally known that he was seriously ill. Funeral services were held from the Blaney Methodist church ■ Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock, conducted by the pastin’, the Rev. Herbert L. Spell. Interment was in the church yard. ♦ Dr. Grigsby was born in Ker shaw county on March 21, 1878, 1 the son of the late James A. and Lottie Grigsby. He attended the Blaney schools and Leesville Col lege. He received his medical de- gree from the Medical College of Charleston. Dr. Grigsby practiced medicine in Blaney for 42 years and he was one of the community’s most be loved citizens. He was a devoted member of the Blaney Methodist church and was superintendent of the church school. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Lillian Burns of Charleston: two brothers, J. T. Grigsby, of Columbia, and J. M. Grigsby, of Blaney; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Amos of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Jessie Lowe of Mel- boum, Fla., and Mrs. Annie Hem- mings of Birmingham, Ala., and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers at the fu-. neral were Talmadge Bowen, Dewey Brazzell, Fred Miles, As- bury Martin, Ben Harrison and Arnold Porter. Members of the Kershaw Coun ty Medical Society were among the honorary pallbearers. W Uliam whsonTo _ Practice Law Here William M. Wilson has located Jn Camden and will be associated with John K. deLoache in the practice of law. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of the law school of the University of South Carolina. He enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1944 and was released from active duty in 1946. Mr. Wilson married Miss Eliza beth Blakeney and they have a daughter, Elizabeth Blakeney Wilson, who is two and a half years old.
