Martin, the Orangeburg ace hurl
ed five-hit ball to lead the Braves
in s 5 to 4 win over a scrappy
Georgetown .team.
At Ki^stree, rain had the up
per hand' and the game with Harts-
ville was post^hsd. *
Miller Shealy had a onediitter
under his belt for six innings, a
scratch sltigfo by Ridings. Sumter
shortstop, being the only knock
yielded by the slender chnnekef.
Ip the seventh, Shesly lost con
trol and a walk followed by three
hits, with an error by Horton, sent
four runners over the pan and the
Pals took over s 4' to 3 lead. Cam
den, held to four hits in six rounds
by a smooth-working Bill Ander
son, raged back in the seventh and
drove Andy from the hill. Bar-
rineau rushed to the rescue but was
greeted with a fusilage of blows,
two being double4eckers by Harri
son- an^ Blalock. When the smoke
lifted Camden had scored six runs
on six hits' and one mlsplsy.
