(Bobby) Freitag is en route to the states for final iatarment. Pfe. FTettag was klllad in action la Lnzenibnrg on Fabmary U. 1P4S. Ha entered tha senrlce on No- ramber 1. IMS. and recelred his training at Fort Jackaon, Camp Croft, Fort Banning, Camp Van* Dom and Fort Meade. He went orerseas^ in October,- 1944, and •erred with General aPtton’s army. He was wounded Decembw 24, 1944, and was hospitalised for ser* eral weeks. Upon his discharge from the hospital he rejoined his command at Luxemburg. He receired the Purple Heart decoration and also held a combat infantry badge. His mother was also awarded a Purple Heart The body will arrire at Charles ton and from there will be brought to the Kornegay Funeral Home here. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Pfc. Freitag was the son of Mrs. Ala Freitag and the late Ernest R. Freitag. He leares besides his mother, a sistsr. Miss Sadie Frei tag, RN, of Lexington, and Cam den, and one brother, Ernest R.
