June 11 at 9:30 o’clock, when Miss'Winifred Eliza beth Godwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs*. Henry Clere Godwin, Route 2, Clgrk Owens of Westrille and the late Mr. Owens. The Rev. James Troy Godwin of Greenwood, brother of the bride, grandmother, officiated, assUted ^ the „„ charming Floyd Montgomery. The single ring ceremony was used. Palms and Southern smilaz inter spersed with seven* branched candelabras holding, lighted cath edral tapers and two UII baskeu of giant Shasta daisies and white gladioli formed the- background for the rows. Before the ceremony, Mrs. F. N. The fitted bodice was but toned to "the waistline with cov' ered buttons and her full length veil of bridal illusion was worn from a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a bride's bouquet of gardenias centered with a pink throated orchid and showered with lilies of the valley. Miss Annie Mae Godwin, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mias An nie Ruth Owens of Westvllle, slater of the bridegroom; Miss Blanche Brannon of Colubmia and Miss Annie Robinson and Miss Carolyn Moore of Camden. The atten" wore Identical dresses of ta: and net, made with fitted taffeta bodices, sweetheart neckline, short puff sleeves and net overskirts. Miss Godwin was In maize and the other attendants In Cameo pink. They all carried colonial bouquets of pink and yellow carnations tied with matching satin rlbbpn. The brldegl^m had as his best man, his cousin. Sam Truesdale, Jr., of Westvllle. Usher-groomsmen were Herbert Tiller of McBee, brother-in-law of the bride; Cleatus Godwin, brother of the bride; James Rush and Ed ward Rush. ■ ' Little Miss Mary Lynn Tiller of McBee, niece of the bride, was flow er girl. She wore a miniature copy of the honor attendants gown and she carried a small colonial bouquet of pink and yellow carnations from which she picked the petals and scattered them before the bride. Mr. Godwin, mother of the bride, wore a grey Faconne dress with pink rosebud corsage and black ac cessories. She was lovely In her wed ding -dress of white satin with Its deep net yoke trimmed with narrow satin bands, long sleeves ending in Cslla illy points over the hand, fitted basque waist and full skirt extending into a gracefol train. Her v^ of bridal Illusion fell from a tiara of satin bands and tulle threaded with seed pearls. She car ried a bouquet of stheponasis and| white carnations centered with a' purple orchid and showM’ed with baby-breath and french maline. Buddy Andrews of Whitmire was the bridegroom's best man. Mrs. Gettys Nell, mother of the I bride, wore a dress of rose^ffeta with a corsage of deep pink roses qnd blue delphinium. Mrs. George B. Farah, Sr., moth er of the bridegroom, wore a drees of blue net and a corsage of redi roses. Immediately after' the ceremony the guests were entertained at a reception. In the dining room the bride’s table covered with an ex quisite hand-made cloth, displayed the beautiful three-tiered wedding cake, surrounded by white carna tions, snapdragons and white light ed candles. Punch was served by Miss Bobbie Spencer, while Miss Mary Louise Farah presided over a frozen punch bowl on a sun porch. During the evening the 'bride and I bridegroom left for their wedding' trip and upon their return will be at home in Whitmire. ,| For traveling the bride wore a' magnolia white suit 'with black ac-, cessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. I^ah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gettys Nell of Camden, She was graduated from Ersklne college and for the past four years has taught Jn the Whitmire school. Mr, Farah is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Farah, Sr., of 'Whitmire and Rock Hill. After Inisbing high school he immediate ly enlisted in the armed forces where he served for three years.)
