Later he went to Manila where he served with the 1396th and 1183rd Mili tary Police Company of the Ninth Air Force. "He returned to the United States in August, 1947, and after a short time spent ‘loafing and sleeping* he re-enlisted in the USAF here at Shaw AFB, and plans to make the AF a career. — “Sgt. TThe Blaney Mgh school will not have graduating exercises this year because.of the 12th grade program being added to the school system. Sumter defeated Orangeburg 15 I to 8, Hartsvlllc won over Lake City 19 to 4 and Kingatree walloped Georgetown tl Kingstree. At Lake City 2,600 people saw the ’Truckers win the first game while -at Sumter 1,200 paid to see the Sumter Palmettoes defeat the Orangeburg Braves 'The attend ance at Kingstree is not known.
