Sgt. Leonard M. Davis, a Kershaw

searching for a handsome man to

had Sgt. L^nard M. Davis, NCO

trapped, and proceeded to extract
the following;
"The world was first bleaed with
his presence January 30 1911 In
Bisbopville, S. C.
“He graduated front Antioch high
j school, Camden, S. C., in June,
1982. ’l>o months later he traveled
the long road to the parson with
Miss Vivian McIntosh, also from
Blshopville. For the next few years
the was employed with several con-
jstructioB companies, and then in
j 1942 he entered the Army.
I “Overseas in 1944, he was serv-
,lng as a Criminal Investigator with
•the 1224th Military Police Com
pany, and In July, 1944, he trema-
ferred to the Ninth Air Force In
Europe.
“He was sent to’ Sheet Metal
)Scho<d in England in late 1944, and
upon graduation In January, 1946,
he was sent to the Island of Guam
in the South Pacific. Later he
went to Manila where he served
with the 1396th and 1183rd Mili
tary Police Company of the Ninth
Air Force.
"He returned to the United States
in August, 1947, and after a short
time spent ‘loafing and sleeping* he
re-enlisted in the USAF here at
Shaw AFB, and plans to make the
AF a career. —

dnet medal, American Theater and
European 'Hieeter ribbons, and the
Victory medsU."

services gf Joseph N. Crouch, for three years in the Navy during World
